Elk Antler Dog Chew, Extra Small, Sliced

These Elk Antler Dog Chews are made from 100% all-natural elk antlers. They are healthy, fat-free, and long lasting chews. They contain no chemicals, growth hormones, antibiotics, or by-products. They are the perfect alternative to rawhide bones because they won't chip or splinter when chewed, and unlike bully sticks, elk antlers are odor free. They are great for teeth and gums making them ideal dental chews. Plus, they contain beneficial nutrients like calcium and chondroitin which are great for dog joint health.

These particular antlers come from free range North American elk located in the Montana region of the USA. Male elk naturally shed their hard antlers each year and start growing new antlers every spring. These antlers have been collected from the Montana wilderness by local Boy Scout troops. They are then cleaned, cut, and lightly sanded to remove any sharp edges. No elk have been harmed for their antlers.

We offer both whole and sliced elk antler chews. This listing is for a sliced chew. If your dog has never had an elk antler before, we recommend getting a sliced chew rather than a whole one. A sliced chew has the tasty inner marrow exposed which dogs find irresistible! The marrow will be attractive to your dog and it will soften much quicker than the outer layer, so they will enjoy licking and chewing the marrow and will eventually work their way to the hard layer.

Please note: ALWAYS supervise your dog when giving elk antler chews. Do not allow your dog to try and swallow the antler or break it in half. These natural antlers are very hard and can break teeth if chewed too aggressively. A nice, slow chewing action that gently grinds down the antler is best. Always buy antler chews proportionate to your dog's body size. Do not allow your dog to chew more than an inch of the antler per day. Take the antler away from your dog once it gets worn down to a small enough size that your dog could swallow and choke on it.
