For shirts, hoodies, sweaters, and coats: When fitting your pet, always round up to the next larger size if the measurement is near or over the range maximum for a particular size. This is especially true for coats and jackets since there is no stretch in those materials. Also round up to the next larger size if your pet has a thick coat or a broad chest. Loose fitting clothing will be more comfortable for your pet than clothing that is too tight.
